Native American and Indigenous Community

  • Native American and Indigenous Community

The Native American and Indigenous Community is committed to educating and equipping tribal leaders and tribal health professionals with culturally informed resources designed to help improve health outcomes and enhance access and opportunities within Native American and Indigenous people’s healthcare. Gather with fellow visionaries and health equity advocates to improve the delivery of care and transform tribal health.

The community is purposeful in its investment to:

    • Education: Highlight the expertise of subject matter experts and tribal leaders to expand knowledge and equip a workforce that is representative of the Native American and indigenous community.
    • Collaboration: Mobilize and activate members to problem solve, improve standards and access and support policy that improves care outcomes for tribal communities.
    • Innovation: Facilitate human-centered, culturally informed design which reflects community values and inspires creators to engage with community members, develop partnerships and vet designs for cultural relevance.
    • Evaluation: Leverage transformative care models to analyze modernization efforts, measure impact and deliver improved health results

The community is a benefit for HIMSS members. Participation is not exclusive, and we encourage all members to join, listen and learn.
