Harold F. Wolf III
President & CEO
Harold (Hal) Wolf is the president and CEO of HIMSS, a global advisor and thought leader supporting the transformation of the health ecosystem through information and technology.
Wolf is respected internationally as a healthcare and informatics leader, with areas of expertise in mHealth, product development, integrated care models, marketing, distribution, information and technology, and large-scale innovation implementation.
Before joining HIMSS, Wolf served at The Chartis Group as director, practice leader, information and digital health strategy. Prior to The Chartis Group, he served as senior vice president and COO of Kaiser Permanente’s The Permanente Federation, representing more than 16,000 physicians. Wolf also held executive positions at MTV Networks and Time Warner, and served as senior advisor to McKinsey & Co.

Christine Buck
Chief Marketing & Communications Officer
Christine Buck is chief marketing & communications officer for HIMSS, a global advisor and thought leader supporting the transformation of the health ecosystem through information and technology. In this role, Christine leads planning and development of global marketing strategy across all products, channels, and regions. She directs a team that plays a critical role in the organization’s growth and revenue generation through product marketing, brand management, market research, corporate communications, and advertising. In collaboration with other senior leaders across multiple groups, Christine works to build a strong, company-wide marketing philosophy characterized by agile decision-making, focus on innovation, experimentation, data-driven accountability, and diversity of thinking.
Christine’s experience is broad and uniquely global with almost 27 years of B2B sales and marketing expertise from roles held in financial services, software, and consulting industries. Christine has built and led teams globally across brand management, creative, product marketing, research, pricing, and analyst relations for leading firms Hootsuite, Morningstar, Huron Consulting, Accenture, Bank of America, and Microsoft.
She is passionate about social advocacy and has served as the Vice President for Barnett Family Foundation of Chicago since 2009, where she works closely with leading nonprofits to further programming in education and medical research.
Christine lives in Chicago with her family and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in French and Anthropology.

Mitch Icenhower
Chief Relationship Officer
Mitch Icenhower is chief relationship officer for HIMSS, a global advisor and thought leader supporting the transformation of the health ecosystem through information and technology. In this role, he leads HIMSS efforts to manage client relationships, drive revenue growth and ensure that HIMSS delivers the right solutions in the global healthcare market. He also leads the HIMSS International organization.
Icenhower joined HIMSS in 2017 as the chief revenue officer for HIMSS Analytics. Prior to joining HIMSS, he had worked in healthcare information and technology for more than 30 years, holding a variety of leadership positions focused on sales and marketing, product development, implementation and support for industry leading solution providers such as Allscripts, Siemens, Healthcare Data Exchange and Shared Medical Systems.
Icenhower has a strong track record of industry involvement with organizations such as Workgroup for EDI (WEDI), the National Committee Vital Health Statistics (NCVHS) and Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), and the Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE), an initiative sponsored by the Coalition for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH).

Janella Kaczanko
Chief Administration Officer
Janella Kaczanko is chief administration officer for HIMSS, a global advisor and thought leader supporting the transformation of the health ecosystem through information and technology. In this role, Kaczanko is responsible for numerous forward-thinking initiatives: cultural development, change management, employee engagement, organizational development, learning and development, recruitment and overall talent strategy for the enterprise.
Kaczanko has extensive executive leadership experience in multiple, global Fortune 1000 organizations where she served as a human resources leader—leading acquisition integrations, strategic planning, operational consolidations, HRIS standardizations, employee engagement and more. Her achievements span strategic planning, operations and turnaround initiatives in highly complex and competitive business climates. Kaczanko has worked in organizations with up to 27,000 employees and proven her capacity to formulate unique human resources solutions focused on large mission critical initiatives.
Before joining HIMSS, Kaczanko served as VP of Human Resources for R1 RCM Inc., where she managed compensation, benefits, policies, HRIS and business partnership, where she delivered a new competitive compensation program that was aligned with Board expectations, resulting in increased retention of key executives and improved the ability of the organization to attract new executive team members.
Prior to R1 RCM, Kaczanko served RJ O’Brien & Associates LLC, a $500M company with 600 employees in four countries. She served as the lead human resources executive, reporting to the CEO and Chairman with global responsibility for all aspects of engagement, recruiting, benefits, compensation, HRIS and talent management.
Prior to RJ O’Brien & Associates LLC, Kaczanko worked as vice president of human resources for MF Global, the largest global financial derivatives broker with 3,100 employees and West Corporation, a $2.6B telecom company.
Kaczanko has a master’s degree in business administration from Wayne State University and a bachelor’s degree in management from Purdue University.

Tom Leary
Senior Vice President & Head of Government Relations
Tom Leary is senior vice president & head of government relations at HIMSS. In this role, Leary leads the organization’s digital health policy development work and strategic engagements with government and membership. He guides a team that provides legislative and regulatory analysis and practical guidance on health information and technology policy development. Through policy analysis and outreach to establish support, he leads priority engagements and strategies to achieve the HIMSS vision: to realize the full health potential of every human, everywhere.
Leary also serves as the executive director of the HIMSS Foundation. As the philanthropic arm of HIMSS, the foundation enriches public discourse on public policy and helps advance clinician informatics and data science education through granting academic scholarships and other opportunities. The foundation fosters partnerships to advance access and inclusion in the healthcare community.
Leary’s tenure at HIMSS began in 2003 as director of federal affairs, working with a small team of HIMSS staff to launch the government relations team. Later he was promoted to senior director, federal affairs—leading the team’s engagement with U.S. federal government on policy topics spanning everything from meaningful use to EHR modernization at the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs (DoD). ​
Prior to HIMSS, Leary was a division manager for SAIC’s TRICARE division, where he was engaged in the coordination of healthcare administrative outsourcing solutions for the Military Health System (MHS).​ His government experience includes time on Capitol Hill working as an LA for Rep. Les Aspin (D-WI) before heading to the Pentagon with the Aspin Team as a Clinton Administration political appointee.
Leary’s previous roles at DoD included staff assistant and special assistant for healthcare policy positions in the Office of the Secretary of Defense Legislative Affairs—followed by a shift to focus exclusively on federal healthcare policy as the Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Health Affairs. As part of the senior management team, he worked to address important issues like medical readiness and peacetime healthcare delivery for military. ​
For professional enrichment, Leary teaches an online course on medical informatics and decision management for The George Washington University’s Master of Health Administration program. He also served as the treasurer of Falls Church High School’s Parent Teacher Student Association.Leary earned his master’s degree in legislative affairs from The George Washington University. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Rutgers University, He is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) through the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and has completed the Georgetown University Executive Leadership Certificate program.​
Tom is a proud member of the Leary Bunch from Wanaque, NJ. He lives in Falls Church, VA with his awesome educator wife, Day, and teenage sons, Jackson Thomas and Marcus Paul, who are his current and future heroes!

Reid Oakes
Chief Products Officer
Reid Oakes is the Chief Products Officer at HIMSS. a global advisor and thought leader supporting the transformation of the health ecosystem through information and technology. In this role, he is responsible for industry alignment, product strategy, and go-to-market for the HIMSS product and services portfolio. These products include thought leadership and innovative solutions that assess, measure and guide organizations on their path to digital maturity, research that reveals insights and evidence about how digital maturity helps achieve better health outcomes, and professional development solutions to train the current and next generation of health leaders to advance digital health maturity.
Oakes was previously Executive Vice President, Analytics for HIMSS. Before joining HIMSS, he served as the Global Head and General Manager for Health Industries at HP Inc., where he focused on innovation and strategic solution engineering for the healthcare payer, provider and health sciences industries. Prior to HP, he held progressive roles with Oracle, Novell and consulting organizations. He is also a proud U.S. Air Force veteran.
Oakes brings more than 20 years of experience in delivering IT solutions for healthcare based on a strong technical foundation, strategic growth mindset and passionate focus on making a difference in the global healthcare markets. He is a recognized industry leader, having served in leadership capacities across standard-setting organizations, industry consortiums, national policy and numerous geography level health collaborations. He served on the boards of the Personal Connected Health Alliance (PCHA), and Continua Health Alliance—focusing on the adoption of personalized digital health technologies.

Anne Tuzik
Chief Financial Officer
Anne Tuzik comes to HIMSS with a focus on both the strategic and operational aspects of financial management while also nurturing a collaborative work environment.
She is a Certified Public Accountant and brings more than 20 years of significant financial management experience to HIMSS. She previously worked as a chief financial officer in a private equity owned distribution organization, where she was part of the executive leadership team responsible for strategic planning and thought leadership.
Tuzik has also spent time developing operational teams and implementing IT systems focused on process improvement and organizational efficiency. She holds a Bachelor of Science in accountancy from DePaul University and is a member of the Illinois CPA Society.
