What we do
In our mission to improve health through the best use of information and technology, HIMSS is committed to advancing the careers of high-performing professionals. We recognize that women are underrepresented in the industry and acknowledge the significant contribution made by women to healthcare IT. The Women in Health IT Community encourages interaction with your colleagues and takes the next step to advance your career while engaging with and inspiring women in our profession. The Women in Health IT Community comes under the framework of HIMSS Global Health Equity Network that collaborate with members of our diverse communities.

Awards
The HIMSS Most Influential Women in Health IT Awards are inclusive of all women of influence in all health and healthcare fields, regardless of where they may be in their career stage. Applicants may nominate themselves or someone they know. For more information, contact awards@himss.org. Women in Health IT Community - EMEA
Following the success of the HIMSS Women in Health IT Community in the US, the EMEA Women in Health IT Community (WHIT), was established in 2016 and today includes doctors, nurses, executives, IT professionals, educators, entrepreneurs, researchers, scientists, students, and more. Join us to recognise the contributions of women! The WHIT community will keep the spotlight on achievements and ongoing commitment by women leaders in digital health professions in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Its priority is to address the gender gap within the industry, to drive awareness of gender-related issues, and to provide professional resources and greater recognition to women leaders making significant contributions to the field. HIMSS will continue to provide professional resources to facilitate the career advancement of women in digital health professions as well as connecting the community globally with peers in the United States, and Asia.
