Virtual Care Community

  • Virtual Care Community

The many definitions highlight that virtual care is an open and constantly evolving science, as it incorporates new advancements in technology and responds and adapts to the changing health needs and contexts of societies.

This emerges to provide a community of practice to:

    • Create a unified voice for virtual care across all healthcare fields, share knowledge & best practices
    • Support and promote the importance of patient experience within virtual care and its crucial role in the future healthcare delivery
    • Increase recognition of virtual care solutions to deliver and make improvements to care

The HIMSS Virtual Care Committee EMEA assembles a regional collective of dedicated experts to provide expertise, leadership and guidance to virtual care activities, initiatives and collaborations.

    • Network with others from diverse backgrounds and worksites.
    • Share thought leadership on policy items and contribute to HIMSS’s submissions in response to comments.
    • Engage ad hoc support to obtain specific subject matter expertise.
    • Provide guidance on HIMSS informatics activities, initiatives and collaborations.
