Intended Audiences

This activity is intended for physicians, nurses, mid-levels and pharmacists who care for patients and use artificial intelligence tools. 

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Understand Innovative Solutions: Identify strategies and tools addressing communication challenges, workforce shortages, and patient engagement in healthcare.
  • Evaluate Bias and Inclusivity: Assess the impact of bias in research methodologies and develop approaches to improve inclusivity in patient care and clinical trials.
  • Leverage Technology in Practice: Explore how innovative tools, including AI, can supplement clinical workflows, enhance efficiency, and improve patient outcomes.
  • Apply Practical Insights: Demonstrate the ability to integrate discussed innovations into real-world healthcare settings to tackle workforce and care delivery challenges.

February 14th - Enhancing Communication in Healthcare: Solutions for Clinician-Patient Interaction

  • Dive into the challenges of effective communication in healthcare, from understanding diverse patient needs to overcoming language and accent barriers.
  • Explore tools and strategies that enhance communication, with AI as a supportive innovation for conversational and ambient listening technologies.
  • Discuss the sensitivities of using technology to build trust and improve patient engagement.

March 14th - Overcoming Bias in Research: Creating Inclusive and Reliable Patient Engagement

  • Address the role of bias in healthcare research, particularly in developing questionnaires and engaging diverse patient populations.
  • Explore strategies for improving inclusivity and accuracy in research methodologies, with AI tools acting as supplements to enhance data collection and analysis.
  • Discuss how advanced tools can help ensure more representative outcomes in clinical trials and studies.

April 11th - Empowering Nurses NOW: Tools for Better Care and Outcomes

  • Highlight the evolving role of nursing and how innovations are supporting nurses in delivering better care.
  • Explore real-world examples of tools that improve patient monitoring, decision-making, and efficiency in nursing practice.
  • Discuss how nursing professionals are leveraging technologies like AI to tackle workload challenges while maintaining patient-centered care.

May 9th - Addressing Workforce Challenges: Strategies for Efficiency and Support

  • Examine the pressing issues of staff shortages, burnout, and growing demands on the healthcare workforce.
  • Discuss innovative solutions that streamline workflows, optimize scheduling, and reduce administrative burdens.
  • Highlight the role of technology in supporting staff without replacing the human-centered aspects of care.
