One of my favorite people to follow on Instagram is Sarah Adler from Simply Real Health. Her realness and smile always makes me happy, plus she’s got the cutest baby boy & some pretty awesome motherhood tips too!
Anyway, Sarah came out with a cookbook called Simply Real Eating and I’m finally getting around to sharing a recipe post-baby. Sarah’s book is full of healthy, inviting plant forward recipes that also happen to be gluten and dairy free. One of my favorite chapters of the book though? Her epic cocktails!
I thought it would be perfect to celebrate with a summer cocktail that will transport your taste buds to the sunshine of Palm Springs. Both gorgeous and delicious.
Ingredients in a Palm Springs cocktail
You’ll just need five simple ingredients to make this super refreshing summertime cocktail:
- Fresh grapefruit juice
- Fresh lime juice
- Vodka or gin
- Cointreau
- Ice
- Club Soda
- Garnishes: jalapeƱo slices, grapefruit peel and/or hibiscus flowers (if you’re feelin’ fancy)
How to make a Palm Springs cocktail
Combine all the ingredients, except the club soda and citrus garnishes, in a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain over two pretty cocktail glasses filled with ice. Add club soda for a dash of fizz, if you wish. Garnish the drinks with jalapeno slices and grapefruit peel twist. Serves 2.
Tools you’ll need to make this cocktail
