It’s fruit season people and if you’re not adding gorgeous summer fruit to every recipe WYD?
Kidding. But in all seriousness, it’s time to stock up on all of those beautiful berries, peaches, citrus, and yes, avocados (a fruit) so that you can start making my absolute favorite fresh fruit desserts for summer.
These summer desserts are my go-to recipes to make after hitting the farmer’s market or buying every container of berries on sale at Whole Foods. You’ll find bars, cakes, no bake treats, crisps & crumbles, and more. When in doubt, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to any of these recipes to take it to the next level!
Can I use frozen fruit?
Sure! If you plan to bake with any frozen fruit, I recommend letting the fruit thaw and then draining off the liquid before adding them to your recipe. For berries, you can also toss them in a little flour before baking with them so that the color doesn’t dye your baked treat.
I split up all of these delicious treats into:
- Berries & cherries
- Banana
- Apples, pears & peaches
- Citrus
- And avocado
So that you can find the perfect dessert with any fruit that you have on hand. They’re perfect for all of your summer BBQ, party and potluck needs!
