This weekend should be a good one! We’re heading to Austin, TX to check out Austin City Limits, a music festival. Tony and I are wicked excited because Mumford and Sons will be there, and if any of you have ever heard Marcus Mumford sing, then you know he is the ultimate man. We actually fell in love with their new album and so if you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend.
Also if you have anything I absolutely must eat in Austin or hiking places, please let me know!
Next up is house updates. I’m seriously so obsessed with decorating my house. Part of me thinks that I could have another website devoted to interior design because I love it so much. We just put our new VELVET headboard together a few nights ago and it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen. I’ve been showing it off on Instagram stories so be sure to follow me there, or you can see my entire room on the blog (as soon as I finish it).
Hmmm what else? We are getting a campaign dresser from MegMade with built on legs. It’s going to be beautiful! Other things that are still on the way include a chair, mirror, rug and some pictures. I feel like pictures are the hardest to pick out. Part of me wants to do something cool like a (fake) Picasso oil painting. Who knows!
Anyway enough chatter about my house obsession. I’ve got a new Spotify playlist for you!
Here are my favorite things from around the web, including some home & beauty stuff. Hope you love!
Omg no bake blueberry ‘donut holes’.Â
Food health bowls are the best thing ever. And I want this one for dinner. Meal prep, anyone?
Cauliflower breadsticks. These are seriously amazing!!!
I just got these copper salt and pepper shakers! So pretty.
Pretty sure you should make this enchilada skillet this weekend.
This cozy sweater is something I need ASAP.
So happy that Calvin Klein is cool again.
Here’s how stress can override the benefits of healthy eating.
I don’t care if it’s no longer summer. I still want to try all these LaCroix cocktails.
These boots are insane (in the best way).
Making this chicken posole for dinner ASAP.
Hope you guys have the best weekend ever. xo!

I was just in Austin the other week, what a fun city to explore!
Make sure to eat all the tacos and BBQ that you can 😉 So delish!
Super easy to rents bikes and ride around the city/trails.
Enjoy the festival, I am sure it will be so amazing.
I’m so jealous that you love decorating–I am always so lost! Of course we’re so not even at the decorating stage yet with our house, we’re still trying to get rid of boxes lol
SO jealous you’re seeing Mumford & Sons. Not only do I love them but I’ve been dying to go to Austin. Enjoy! Also, loving the playlist you shared!!
Have a great trip! Decorating and cooking go hand in hand as far as I am concerned. Yes please, include info and pictures on that too!
SO jealous you are going to ACL! I actually saw Mumford & Sons at Coachella in April, they were amazing! Have an great time!
Climb Mount Bonnell for the best view of the city ever! it’s really more of a walk than a hike, but beautiful! Inks Lake is a beautiful and peaceful place to hike, out in the hill country, close to Austin though. Biscuits and Groovy is a great food trailer for breakfast/brunch/hangover. I know you aren’t vegetarian or vegan, but Mother’s Café is my favorite place ever! Delish! Have fun!
While in Austin, you must eat at Stiles Switch Barbeque & Brew on North Lamar owned by Shane & Catherine Stiles. Also try Catherine’ s Bloody Mary mix-a thicker blend with the sea salt & smoked cracked black pepper smoked on the pits. It’s junk free & no preservatives.
Enjoy Austin, the food & the music!
Have fun at ACL! My coworker said Mumford and Sons was her favorite band of the weekend (for weekend one). I bet they would be great in person. Hiking: 360 overlook, Mount Bonnell, Walnut Creek State Park, the Greenbelt, and if you’ve got time, Hamilton Pool is gorgeous.
Food: Torchy’s Tacos, Tacodeli, Jack Allen’s Kitchen (<<<my personal favorite Austin restaurant so far), Slab BBQ, Tarka, Pinthouse Pizza
Have a wonderful trip, love all you share! Would you please, please tell me where to get the terrific sweater you are wearing with your jeans, you look fabulous, its the perfect color and style, thanks so much! Lisa
Have fun in Austin! I’m spending Thanksgiving there; can’t wait.
I’m going to Austin next month! Let me know if you have any recommendations after your trip!!
I hope you’re having a blast in Austin. You must check out Elizabeth Street Cafe! It’s the best! <3
I’m also wondering where your sweater is from! Please please share! Thank you! Also, your chocolate chip cookies recipe is my favorite!
