How’s your fridge looking these days? Overflowing with bright berries & fresh seasonal produce? Mine is packed to the brim.I mean seriously guys, when you have an obsession with buying all the fruit on sale from Peapod, finding room in the fridge becomes a real problem. Flavors just seem to dance around in my head all day and the next thing I know, I’ve got more than just a few grocery bags to unload.
So what’s a girl to do? Well, sometimes it’s just necessary to throw everything in a blender and enjoy a refreshing smoothie. Often, the random ingredients create the most delicious flavors. Case in point: this watermelon smoothie packed with cherries, berries & creamy almond milk.
Here’s a fun fact: When I was in college, I use to enjoy a smoothie or protein shake every single day. It consisted of me dumping seasonal fruits in the blender, along with protein powder and usually a few heaps of peanut butter. Obviously not much has changed; I’m still the same girl who enjoys gulping down thick smoothies with a spoon and drizzling PB on top.
Or errrmmm excuse me, a bowl. Because smoothie bowls are the latest and greatest. Duh, Monique. It’s 2016.
I’m pretty confident you guys are going to LOVE this smoothie. Watermelon lends such a refreshing finish and the berries pump the smoothie with all the antioxidants, vitamin C and fiber you could dream of. Chaaaa ching, you win at breakfast.
Also, no judging if you want to throw in a shot of tequila.
What? I’m just saying… it could be really, really good. Of course, you might want to wait until the weekend, or just any time after 5pm.
Alright, I’m off to see what else I can make from that crazy fridge of mine. Make sure to check out more recipes on Peapod’s site FromThePod.com!

The fact that this smoothie has watermelon in it makes me extremely happy! I’ve never used it in a smoothie before, but this sounds fab! Fun fact: I currently have 3 watermelons in my kitchen beucase they were on sale lol!
This drink looks amazing!
Watermelon smoothies are the best but when you include fresh berries and cherries, well my darling this refreshing beverage is over the top and absolute sublime!
This smoothy looks delicious. This is one I’ve got to try.
this color!! and for whatever reason, smoothies never taste quite right without a banana to me, so i’m glad that got included in this smoothie (:
I am drinking this as I type. I didn’t have cherries but I did have the rest of the ingredients. I also added blueberries. Instead of Almond milk, I used soy milk and added tofu for protein.I had to add a little water to thin it down but it is quite good. Just for added protein, besides the tofu, I added my protein powder. This is a good shake/smoothie. I’m not a big fan of fruit so this is a good way to maximize the benefits of fruit in my daily diet.
Nice! Seems like I will have to try it! Maye with a splash of rum :)))
looks refreshing!!
My fridge is PACKED with pre-cooked meals! It’s great for leftovers night, of course 🙂 I love the look of this smoothie! Not a huge fan of watermelon, but I adore cherries!
Bananas are also berries you know:p so it’s quadriple…
Berry smoothies are delicious, and watermelon is, well, watermelon <3 Love the idea. Definitely trying it.
We’ve been having this for breakfast this week. It’s so light and refreshing, which is nice with how hot it’s been! I did full cup of almond milk and added a scoop of chia seeds. Yum!
Perfect for summer! Glad you enjoyed 🙂
Super tasty and summery!
