Target Topics
This year, the Central & North Florida and South Florida HIMSS Advocacy Groups are focused on three main policy areas:
- Interoperability
- AI (Artificial Intelligence)
- Cybersecurity
Florida Proclamation
The Garner Group is working with Florida Senator Harrell, Chair of Senate HHS Appropriations, in drafting a Proclamation for the State to recognize the value of these policy issues to the state's healthcare system. The Proclamation also serves as an educational tool for policymakers about health policy issues that they may be voting on regarding Medicaid Budget needs and changes in reimbursement.

- Testify/Participate in the HHS Senate and/or House Committee Meetings.
